Giving Furniture a Second Chance
We collect, restore, and provide essential furniture free of charge to individuals and families in Hertfordshire facing challenging circumstances.
How We Help
We are a Datchworth Church and Community project run entirely by volunteers. Our mission is to prevent unwanted items from ending up in a landfill by giving them a new home.
We collect donations of good quality furniture and household items, and then resupply these essential items free of charge to families and individuals in need. We deliver to people of any faith or none, encouraging re-use and recycling.

Get Help & Give Help
All individuals and families who receive our help must be referred by a Care Worker or a similar professional. Care workers can contact us directly to make a referral on behalf of a client.
We gratefully accept donations of good quality, unwanted furniture. Due to limited space and access in many homes, we can only take specific items. Please see the list below.
Items We Can Take
Small double or single beds and mattresses (no king-size)
Wardrobes up to 6ft (1.8m) high with a maximum of double doors
Small three-seater sofas up to 2m (6ft 6in) wide
Chests of drawers, bedside tables, coffee tables, and small tables with chairs
To arrange a furniture donation, please contact us.
Make a Donation
Our running expenses are about £3,500 per year. As we are run entirely by volunteers, we rely on monetary donations to cover these costs. Your help is gratefully received.
